About Jennika

Hey there! Welcome. I'm Jennika, a research scientist (PhD, Applied Experimental Psychology) who spends her days turning messy data into decisions people can actually use. For the past decade, I've lived in the world of research design, program evaluation, and statistics, teaching both undergraduates and graduate students along the way. And honestly? I loved it. Nothing lights me up like watching someone understand something they once found intimidating.

That's the thread that runs through everything I do. Whether I'm helping a community coalition make sense of their youth survey data or walking a room full of skeptical students through the Central Limit Theorem, my job is the same: translation. Data doesn't have to be cold or confusing. In the right hands, it tells a story about what's working, what isn't, and where to go next.

My research heart lives in the long-term impact of chronic childhood trauma and how developmental psychopathology unfolds over time. How do we trace the invisible threads that lead to mental health struggles? And more importantly, how do we intervene to heal? That question shapes how I approach evaluation work, too. Behind every dataset are real people, and the numbers only matter if they lead to something better for them.

When I'm not designing surveys or analyzing data, you can find me hiking forest trails, adventuring solo to places I've never been, or at the beach enjoying the natural beauty of New England.
